CC Rowe
Well, howdy! CC from Austin, Tx here, where we say "howdy," "y'all," and "fixin' ta," but not with the thick Texas drawl that you are probably imagining. Living in the sunny Hill Country means that I can enjoy my recreational life outdoors pretty much year round, which is a wonderful thing since my idea of torture is to be stuck in an office all day. I am a triathlon and running coach and spend a lot of my time trying new workouts to torture, errrrr I mean train, my athletes with. When I'm not enjoying the outdoor beauty that Austin and Central Texas has to offer, I am a full-time professional sign language interpreter and amateur chef wannabe.
I have been a life-long athlete and had to endure roughly 857 iterations of ridiculously bad sports bras. In middle and high school, it was the double-up-on-the-slightly-compressive-over-the-head-uniboob-making contraption. Later, in my 20s, I found that I liked the support that came with a stiffer bra, but the only one I could find that would even come close to fitting my 36GG chest had underwire and literally shredded my poor cleavage. I still have scars from all those years of being poked and jammed and chafed. On a run about 7 years ago, my friend mentioned the Enell to me. I had seen it before and was like, "HOLY CRAP THAT'S A BREASTPLATE!" but her accolades made me want to give it a good college try. And IMMEDIATELY fell in love. I haven't looked back since that first run in my first Enell. I'm now the first to stand on a mountain top and scream, "ENELL ENELL ENELL" when any larger chested woman wants a recommendation on the best sports bra.
I find that a day without movement is a day that I don't feel complete. Since I have been involved in some form of athletics for my entire life, I tend to be on the competitive side. As I get older, that competitive streak get more and more internalized, so I push harder to become a better version of myself. Every day, I want to do something - even if it's some form of restorative and recovery movement - to make myself stronger. Also, I LOVE to eat, and I don't want to sabotage my hard work by eating processed junk foods that short me on nutrition. I have worked hard to incorporate foods that fuel my workouts into a delicious meals and dishes that shock my friends when they figure out that - gasp - it's healthy. It's almost like playing a mean trick on them. I LOVE it. It cracks me up every time.
I love that my Enell is versatile enough to get me through the swim at a triathlon and still will be compressive by the time I hit my run, because without that kind of shock-absorbing support, I'd have 2 black eyes at every race. I am a multi-sport fanatic and participate in duathlons and triathlons of all distances from super sprint to half ironman. This year, I am tackling my first ever 140.6 full length Ironman. I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't scared. I'm scared! And I run. A lot. I run everything from 5ks to full marathons, and will probably tackle an ultra next year. One SUPER FRIGHTENING goal is enough for this year.
My favorite Enell product is the Raspberry Zest Enell Sport. I feel like it kinda represents me: a little bit girly on the outside, but still will hold up to the toughest workout you could throw at it. Either that or I just like it because it's HOT PINK and BADASS.
